Police Saturday sought the public’s help in identifying a crew of residential burglars who have committed at least 14 such crimes in Alhambra since April 1.
Detectives believe that at least three and possibly as many as 10 of these burglaries have been committed by the same individuals, the Alhambra Police Department reported.
On one of the recent break-ins, the homeowner’s security cameras caught the burglars as they began to break into the home. The suspects disabled the home alarm system but the closed-circuit cameras were able to record the suspects in the rear yard of the house just prior to making entry. There was no one home at the time of the incident.
Police said the criminals are targeting single-family homes in the late afternoon and evening hours.
All three suspects are described as black males in their late teens to early 20s between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10 inches tall with thin builds. One suspect is known to have a distinct goatee.
The suspects are known to use a dark-colored sedan, possibly an older Honda Accord.
Alhambra police detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the burglaries or the suspects to call them at (626) 570-5187.
