Police Monday asked the public for help in tracking down the hit-and-run killer of a woman pedestrian who died in a hospital one day after her 66th birthday.
The deadly incident was reported around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of 89th Street and Western Avenuein South Los Angeles, police said.
Officials have now disclosed the name of the victim. She was Julia Soloman Alvarado, and she died about 3:15 a.m. Thursday at a hospital, according to the county coroner’s office.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. All tips can be made anonymously.
