A man believed to be in his late 50s was killed and two other people were injured in a head-on collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest, authorities said.

The accident was reported at 11:50 a.m. Saturday in the 33000 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Robert Diaz.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Diaz said. Two people were taken to hospitals, one with traumatic injuries and the other in critical condition, although their injuries were not detailed.
