A 46-year-old Glendora man was fatally injured after his motorcycle collided with a Honda Civic Sunday in Azusa.
The crash happened about 6:15 a.m. on the San Gabriel Canyon Road/State Route 39, CHP Officer C. Strautman said.
According to the CHP, a 40-year-old Montebello man in a 2000 Honda was heading south on San Gabriel Canyon Road as the Glendora man going north on his 2005 Ducati bike.
The Honda driver then made an “unsafe left turn” into an off-road parking lot in front of the Ducati. The Ducati rider then collided into the side of the Honda.
The motorcycle rider suffered blunt force trauma to the chest and was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the CHP.
Drugs and/or alcohol were not a factor in this crash, the CHP said.
There’s no word yet on if the Honda driver was cited or arrested.
No other injuries were reported.
