Several hundred students were protesting the presidential election results early Wednesday on UCLA’s campus in Westwood.
The crowd of about 500 was gathered on the campus late Tuesday night as they watched the election results at the Wilson Plaza, according to Sgt. Miguel Banuelos of the UCLA Police Department.
Other than a lot of noise, Banuelos said the protest was peaceful and students were behaved.
“There’s nothing destructive,” Banuelos said. “Just students exercising their First Amendment right. We’re just monitoring them but they’ve been fully cooperative.”
Banuelos said the protest was contained to the UCLA campus.
