A suspicious package reported at a United Parcel Service distribution center in Aliso Viejo was determined to be safe and evacuated employees were allowed to return to work, authorities said.
The package was discovered at 10:25 a.m. Saturday at the UPS Distribution Center in the 100 block of Brookline, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. John Roche.
“The employees felt there was something odd about it,” Roche said, although he did not have specifics.
Some 25 employees were evacuated and a hazardous materials team and the sheriff’s bomb squad responded, he said.
At about 2 p.m., the officials determined the package had nothing hazardous nor destructive inside, Roche said. The employees returned to work.
