But they will not see a second headline maker.
The English soccer juggernaut announced the traveling roster Sunday for its U.S. preseason tour, which kicks off with the friendly match July 15 at the Carson facility. It includes midfielders Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marouane Fellaini, forwards Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, and goalkeeper David de Gea, among others.
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is also expected to join the club in Los Angeles, Manchester United said Sunday. The English Premier League star agreed last week to a $97 million deal that moves him from Everton to MU. He comes aboard as champion MU striker Wayne Rooney signs with Everton in an undisclosed deal. Rooney had been with MU for 13 years and is considered by most to be and indisputable legend.
Lukaka’s arrival in Los Angeles is not without controversy. He is due in an LA courtroom in October after he was cited for a noise complaint earlier this month at the Beverly Hills home he was staying in.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are available on the Galaxy’s website, or by calling (877) 342-5299.
