A 41-day streak of decreases ended Monday when the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged, remaining at $3.564.
The average price dropped 44.8 cents during the streak to its lowest amount since April 29, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 32.7 cents lower than one month ago and 60.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped Monday for the 44th consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.496, its lowest amount since April 27. It is 4 cents less than one week ago, 35.3 cents lower than one month ago and 66.3 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped 50.7 cents over the past 44 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Sunday.
