A 26-day streak of decreases ended Wednesday when the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.791.

The average price decreased 51.3 cents during the streak, including 1.9 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The decreases followed a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 75.7 cents, pushing the average price to its highest amount since May 4, 2014.

Despite the slight increase, the average price is 16.2 cents less than one week ago, 13.6 cents lower then one month ago and 10.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

A 26-day streak of decreases to the Orange County average price ended with an increase of nine-tenths of a cent to $3.76.

The average price decreased 52.4 cents during the streak, including 2.2 cents on Tuesday. The decreases followed a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 77.8 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 6, 2014.

Despite the slight increase, the Orange County average price is 15.9 cents less than one week ago, 11.9 cents lower then one month ago and 10.9 cents below what it was one year ago
