The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Saturday to $2.834, the ninth consecutive decrease after rising 10 times in 12 days.
The average price is 2 cents less than one week ago, 1.3 cents lower than one month ago and $1.163 below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped 2.8 cents over the past nine days, including one-tenth of a cent on Friday.
The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $2.809, one day after being unchanged. The average price has dropped eight times in the past 10 days and is 1.6 cents less than one week ago, 3.1 cents lower than one month ago and $1.172 below what it was one year ago.
