Authorities have announced that disaster assistance centers will be opened Saturday in Malibu and Agoura Hills.
“The Disaster Assistance Centers are critical and basic components of our ongoing recovery efforts,” county Supervisor Sheila Kuehl said.
“They are there to help residents impacted by the Woolsey Fire rebuild their lives as quickly as possible,” Kuehl said. “These centers will provide a central location where those affected by the recent fire can access needed services, resources and support from a variety of public and non-profit agencies.”
The centers will be at the Malibu Courthouse, 23525 Civic Center Way, in Malibu; and the Conrad L. Hilton Foundation, 30440 Agoura Road, in Agoura Hills.
The hours of operation are as follows:
— Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
— Sunday, closed;
— Monday through Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
— Thanksgiving Day, closed;
— Friday Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Additional hours and days of operation will be posted at www.lacounty.gov/woolseyfire.
The centers are being operated by Los Angeles County, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
Assistance available for residents will include: replacing records lost during the wildfire; filing insurance claims; applying for FEMA disaster assistance; information on property cleanup, repair and rebuilding; and public and community resources for disaster recovery.
