Digital creators and online video executives will gather Wednesday for the beginning of the 10th annual VidCon, the first such event since Viacom acquired it.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Neal Mohan, chief product officer of YouTube, on Thursday.
Representatives of major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, and Twitch make various presentations at the convention, with Baidu participating for the first time this year.
More than 150 speakers are scheduled to make presentations on topics such as creative monetization and innovation, data and performance, the trends in “influencer marketing,” AR VR and immersive technologies and the links between online video and traditional media.
In addition to Mohan, other speakers include Jackson Williams, head of strategic partnerships and emerging talent for Instagram; Michael Aragon, SVP content for Twitch; Vanessa Pappas, general manager of TikTok; Peter Roybal, head of video product for LinkedIn; Stephanie McMahon, chief brand officer of WWE; Cornell Brown, general manager of Complex Media; Steve Rubel, chief media ecologist for Edelman; Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, co-founders of World of Wonder; and Jeron Smith, chief executive of Unanimous Media.
VidCon founders Hank and John Green are expected to also participate along with online personalities Hannah Hart, Poppy, Rickey Thompson, the Try Guys, Kandee Johnson, and Miles Jai.
The convention continues through Sunday.
