Los Angeles World Airports announced Wednesday the hiring of a new chief financial officer.
Tatiana Starostina will become the new CFO on Tuesday, replacing Ryan Yakubik, who left LAWA for a position in the private sector, airport officials said.
“Tatiana Starostina is a well-established and highly regarded aviation finance executive, and we are excited to welcome her to Los Angeles World Airports,” said Justin Erbacci, the interim CEO of LAWA. “`Ms. Starostina brings a strong reputation and high credibility as well as significant experience, expertise and leadership skills to the CFO position.”
According to LAWA officials, Starostina has more than 16 years of experience in the aviation industry, working most recently as the assistant director of aviation, business and strategy at the Port of Oakland.
She previously served as the Port of Oakland’s manager of financial planning, helping maintain Oakland International Airport’s finances and modernizing the airport’s rate-setting methodology. Starostina also worked as the regional manager of airport affairs for United Airlines’ corporate real estate department.
Starostina received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in analytical finance, strategy, accounting and decision science.
