March Field Air Museum in Riverside is set to reopen June 2, although visitors will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
The museum temporarily closed March 19 in response to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s stay-at-home order.
Upon reopening, the museum will follow all state and county reopening guidelines, according to its website, which also discouraged anyone who had COVID-19 symptoms from visiting.
Jamil Dada, president of the March Field Museum Foundation, said in a message previously posted to the museum’s website that the facility took a financial hit following the lockdown.
“The majority of revenues generated here at the museum keep the doors open, restore our aircraft and create an amazing historical experience with our exhibits, comes from our admission and store sales. Just like many of you, bills are still coming in even though revenues have stopped,” Dada said.
Admission can be purchased at www.marchfield.org.
