Tiena Johnson-Hall was appointed executive director of the California Housing Finance Agency after serving on the board of directors of the agency that provides financing and programs intended to increase home ownership among low-to-moderate-income Californians.
The 61-year-old Claremont resident has been senior vice president and community development finance manager of the BBVA USA bank since 2014.
Johnson was community development manager at Bank of the West in 2014, senior vice president and senior relationship manager at US Bank from 2005-2013 and region manager for community development at US Bank from 2003-2004.
Johnson received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Redlands.
The compensation for the position is $258,492 annually. The appointment requires Senate confirmation.
