One person was injured when a wind-fueled fire broke out at an apartment complex in Palm Springs Sunday, prompting the evacuation of numerous homes.
The fire was reported at about 10 a.m. at an apartment building on Los Felices Road near West San Rafael Drive.
According to the Palm Springs Fire Department, one person was treated at the scene for unspecified injuries.

Twelve units were damaged by fire and smoke in the building, fire officials said.
Firefighters faced strong winds that were fanning the flames as they attempted to save residents from the burning building, KESQ reported.
Officials said the blaze was brought under control and that the American Red Cross was requested to assist displaced residents.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
