A motorist killed when his vehicle plowed into a tree in front of a Home Gardens business was identified Thursday as a 35-year-old Eastvale man.

Christopher Paskey was fatally injured about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at 12799 Magnolia Ave., just south of the Riverside (91) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said that Paskey was traveling at an undetermined speed when he apparently lost control, veering off of Magnolia and slamming into the tree. No other details were available.

Paramedics reached the location minutes later and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the CHP’s Riverside office at 951-637-8000.
