A 28-year-old woman suffered minor injuries Thursday when her small plane overturned at Van Nuys Airport.
Firefighters responded to the airport around 4:15 p.m., according to Nicholas Prange with the Los Angeles City Fire Department. The plane wound up in a grassy area next to the runway, flipped onto its wings.
The woman was the only occupant of the aircraft. It was unclear why the plane overturned, and whether it was landing or taking off when the accident occurred.
