Young was attacked about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 11500 block of Obert Avenue, near Leffingwell Road and the border with La Mirada, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Trina Schrader said.
A witness told deputies she was approached by another woman who started an argument that escalated into a fight, Schrader said.
Cella then allegedly stabbed the victim several times before fleeing, Schrader said. Young was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
Cella was detained a short time later by Norwalk sheriff’s deputies and held at the Norwalk sheriff’s station, Schrader said.
