Monique Zarazua was struck by a black 2006 Cadillac DTS on Beach Boulevard at Yorktown Avenue about 5:35 a.m. Monday, according to Huntington Beach police Sgt. David Dereszynski.

Zarazua was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where she was declared dead about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The Cadillac was northbound on Beach when it struck the teen, Dereszynski said.

The driver was not immediately cited in the accident. Any witnesses were asked to call investigator Robert Barr at (714) 536-5666 or investigator Tai Huynh at (714) 536-5670.
