A woman was injured by glass fragments when someone fired a shot that shattered a window of her apartment in Covina, police said Thursday.
It happened about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West Center Street, West Covina police Sgt. Gregg Peterson said.
The woman, in her 40s, was taken to a hospital for treatment of an non- life-threatening injury, Peterson said. There were no arrests.
According to the preliminary investigation, a rock was thrown against a window of the woman’s second-floor apartment, and when she went to the window, a person described only as a male fired a shot that shattered the glass, Peterson said.
The male then ran away and apparently got into a vehicle and fled.
No description was available of the suspect or vehicle.
