An armed male suspect was hospitalized with unknown injuries early Saturday after being shot by a Pomona police officer.
The shooting occurred at 10:38 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of East Center Street, Deputy Pomona Police Chief Michael Olivieri said.
The incident occurred about three blocks from Western University of Health Sciences. The shooting was being investigated by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives, Olivieri said.
No officers were injured, he said.
