A man was critically injured Sunday when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, near the San Bernardino (10) Freeway.
A black sedan hit the pedestrian in the area of Washington Boulevard and Naomi Avenue, just east of Central Avenue.
Police were dispatched to the scene at 4:45 a.m. Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to an area hospital with critical injuries, she said.
The car was last seen going east on Washington Boulevard, said a watch commander at the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Central Traffic Division. He asked anyone who saw the injury was asked to call the division at (213) 833- 3746.
