A burglary suspect spotted inside a Valley Village home on a camera that fed video to the resident’s cell phone was arrested along with a second suspect late Friday afternoon within a perimeter set up by police.

Officers were dispatched about 10:30 a.m. to the home in the 4600 block of Farmdale Avenue, Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Division said.

The suspect initially eluded capture, but was collared by police, who used a helicopter and search dogs in the manhunt.

A second suspect who apparently arrived in a vehicle to give the first a getaway ride, was arrested after crashing at the end of brief chase, Madison said.

He did not know the age or gender of the purported getaway driver, although both suspects are adults, Madison said.

Broadcast video showed a man being arrested by an officer with his service weapon drawn.
