Jurors also found Sanchez guilty of assault with a deadly weapon on his father the night before the killing, along with violating a court order involving his plea to misdemeanor criminal threats involving his father.
Two of Sanchez’s uncles were at the house at the time of the crime and heard screaming, with one witnessing part of the stabbing.
On Oct. 2, jurors found that Sanchez was sane at the time of the crime.
