The California Supreme Court refused Tuesday to review the case against a former ice skating coach who was convicted last year of sexually abusing two students.

Donald James Vincent, 32, was a coach who worked as an independent contractor at various rinks in Southern California. He sexually molested the boy and girl at his homes in Hacienda Heights and Downey between 2007 and 2011, according to Deputy District Attorney Babette Huley.

Vincent was convicted in January 2014 of one count of continuous sexual abuse, two counts each of forcible lewd act upon a child, lewd act upon a child and sex or sodomy with a child under 10 and three counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child under 10.

Vincent, who lived in Torrance at the time of his January 2013 arrest, was sentenced last November to 98 years and eight months to life behind bars.
