
Authorities Friday renewed pleas for information that could help them locate a 58-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes who went missing in South Gate.
Armando Mayorga Alaniz, who requires daily medication, was last seen about 5 p.m. Monday in the 10000 block of California Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Alaniz, who is now the subject of a Silver Alert, is Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds, with gray and black hair and hazel eyes.
He loves to collect cans and walk to recycling centers, according to the sheriff’s department.
His family thinks he may be wandering the streets.
