MyNewsLA-new-templateA 62-year-old man allegedly connected by DNA evidence to a series of residential burglaries in Rolling Hills was being sought Thursday by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s investigators at the Lomita Station said they have exhausted their leads and hope the public can help them track down Charles Vaca, a transient with ties to Torrance, Redondo Beach and Harbor City.

Vaca has a history of lying about his true identity when stopped by law enforcement and uses the alias “Ryan Baca,” sheriff’s officials said. Named in a $1.05 million arrest warrant, he is known to frequent walking trails in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, according to the department.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was urged to contact the sheriff’s Lomita Station at (310) 539-1661.
