A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg Sunday in Lincoln Heights as he was walking down a street, police said.

The shooting happened around 1:45 p.m. at Griffin and Manitou avenues, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Miguel Lopez.

The victim heard three to five gunshots before he was hit, Lopez said.

It’s unclear how many shooters were involved or whether the incident was a drive-by, as the victim didn’t see the shooter, the sergeant said.

The victim was hospitalized with stable injuries.

The shooting wasn’t believed to be gang-related.
