The victim heard three to five gunshots before he was hit, Lopez said.
It’s unclear how many shooters were involved or whether the incident was a drive-by, as the victim didn’t see the shooter, the sergeant said.
The victim was hospitalized with stable injuries.
The shooting wasn’t believed to be gang-related.
