Los Angeles Police Department detectives Wednesday investigated the possibility that the fiery collision involving an MTA bus and several vehicles in South Los Angeles was caused by street racing.

The collision reported at 6:52 p.m. Monday at 1674 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., between Normandie and Western avenues, left seven people injured, two critically, authorities said.

The bus had no passengers on it when the collision occurred. Several good Samaritans helped get injured people out of some of the automobiles involved.
