Five people were rescued from a 25-foot boat that struck the breakwall near the Port of Los Angeles lighthouse in San Pedro.
One person was plucked from the rocks and four others from the vessel at 9:45 p.m., said David Ortiz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The occupants of the boat walked away with minor cuts and scrapes, according to Sgt. Danny Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Port Police.
The vessel is safe and tied up at a nearby dock as police investigate the damage at the scene, Rodriguez said.
