A year of sexual horror for a 4-year-old girl is over and her alleged attacker — a 28-year-old male relative — will be arraigned Jan. 20.
Nelson Eduardo Garcia-Soloranzo of Santa Ana has been charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, three counts of intercourse with a minor younger than 10 and single counts each of incest and oral copulation on a child younger than 10, according to court records.
He also faces a sentencing enhancement for substantial sexual conduct with a minor, according to court records.
In order to protect the identity of the victim, officials did not disclose her name nor exact family relationship with the suspect.
There was no word of how the alleged attacks were discovered by authorities, nor how they could have continued for so long.
The girl was allegedly sexually assaulted over a period of about a year, according to Deputy District Attorney Kristin Bracic.
The defendant made his first appearance in court Friday, but his arraignment was rescheduled for Jan. 20.
