There was still no word Sunday about the fate of two missing dogs that could not be located after fire damaged the first level of a two-story residential triplex in the El Sereno area, authorities said.
Five people managed to flee safely from the burning structure, but the fate of the dogs that lived in the home was unknown.
The blaze was reported at 9:11 p.m. Saturday at 3421 Linda Vista Terrace, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
It took 46 firefighters 29 minutes to put out the flames, Humphrey said.
