A person was shot Monday afternoon in South Los Angeles, and police were on the lookout for a teenage suspect who fled in a pickup truck.
Officers and firefighters responded about 2:05 p.m. to a report of a person down at the intersection of 99th Street and Broadway, according to Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im.
Firefighters transported a patient to a hospital, according to a city fire spokesman who had no other details.
Police were looking for a 15-year-old boy who fled south on Broadway to westbound Century Boulevard in a white pickup truck. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130-140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
