Outraged black-clad environmental activists scaled security fences at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes to carve a presidential protest message into the grass near the fifth hole.
The message apparently was meant to protest President Trump’s environmental policies, but it included a somewhat confusing reference to golf star Tiger Woods.
The group that calls itself an “anonymous environmental activist collective,” sent the Washington Post a video showing four people in dark clothes scaling a fence and using gardening tools to carve six-foot-tall letters in the grass reading: “NO MORE TIGERS. NO MORE WOODS.”
The group sent a statement to the newspaper explaining the vandalism was a response to the Trump administration’s “blatant disregard for the environment.”
However, there was no explanation for the apparent reference to golf star Tiger Woods as part of the environmental protest.
