Sheriff’s investigators Wednesday sought information about the fatal shooting of a man in the unincorporated Westmont area.

The shooting occurred about 11:25 p.m. June 23, in the 1100 block of West 104th Street, about a block west of Vermont Avenue, according to Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Friday, Rouzan said.

No suspect information has been released and details about what led up to the shooting were not immediately available.
