Authorities Wednesday hunted the killer of a 25-year-old father of three who was mysteriously gunned down in a Santa Clarita park.
Deputies sent to Begonias Lane Park, in the 14900 block of Begonias Lane, about 5 a.m. Tuesday on a shots-fired call found the man dead from “multiple gunshot wounds,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
It wasn’t clear why the victim or his killer were in the park at that early hour before dawn. The sprawling grassy area features meandering walkways and a fenced-in children’s play area complete with slides and other equipment.
While the park can be crowded on summer afternoons, it was virtually deserted in the darkness of the early morning shooting.

Authorities withheld the victim’s name, but grieving family members told ABC7 he was Ivan Solia, a father of three.
Law enforcement officials did not say if they had any information about a suspect, nor did they speculate about a possible motive for the deadly attack.
Anyone with information on the shooting was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
