A gun-wielding woman and two male accomplices — one of them in a wheelchair — were being sought Wednesday for carrying out a home- invasion robbery in the Mid-Wilshire area that left a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
The crime occurred about 7:40 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Citrus Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A man who lived at the home was shot during the break-in, and he was taken to a hospital in stable conditions, according to LAPD Officer Drake Madison.
Madison said a woman and two men carried out the crime. The woman is believed to have been the shooter, and one of the men was in a wheelchair, he said. Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
It was unclear what was stolen from the home or how the suspects escaped the area.
Police set up a perimeter in the area as they searched for the suspects, but the perimeter was broken down by early afternoon.
