A 16-year-old boy suffered a lower leg injury when he fell at least 50 feet while climbing some rocks Friday near the Chatsworth Oaks Park in Chatsworth.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 5:19 p.m. to the 8900 block of North Valley Circle Boulevard, where the boy, who was conscious, was hoisted from the scene and airlifted to an area hospital, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
