A gunman wounded two men at a park just after midnight Saturday in South Los Angeles.

A little before 12:20 a.m. at the South Park Recreation Center, 345 E. 51st St., a man about 50 years old walked up and began arguing with two 19-year- old men, said Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.

The suspect pulled out a gun and fired several shot at the men, before fleeing the scene, Lopez said.

One shooting victim was transported to an area hospital with stable life signs. The other victim refused medical attention, he said.

There was no other immediate information.
