Three women were arrested at three massage parlors in Santa Clarita for allegedly offering sex acts to undercover deputies in exchange for money, authorities said Wednesday.
The arrests were made Tuesday following an investigation by detectives with the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, inspectors from the city of Santa Clarita and investigators from the state Employment Development Department, according to Lt. Kent Wegener of the sheriff’s Human Trafficking Bureau.
The investigation was launched following community complaints that commercial sex acts were taking place at some massage businesses, Wegener said.
“At each of the three locations, deputies posing as customers were solicited by employees of the massage parlors to exchange money for sex acts,” the lieutenant said. “During Tuesday’s operation, three adult females (one suspect from each location) were arrested for solicitation charges.”
Their names were not released.
