Police Tuesday sought two suspects in a home-invasion robbery near Culver City in which a woman in her 70s was forced into a closet.
The crime occurred about 11 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Stearns Drive, said Los Angeles Police Department Detective Meghan Aguilar.
The woman, whose name was withheld, was asleep when she awoke to noises and saw what she thought was the light from a flashlight. She was then accosted by two suspects, who covered her head before forcing her into a closet, the detective said.
When she came out a little while later, they were gone, Aguilar said.
No descriptions were released of the suspects, including whether they were men or women.
Investigators were working to determine if the suspects were involved in any similar crimes in the area. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call LAPD Wilshire Station detectives at (213) 922-8205.
