U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents Sunday busted a marijuana smuggling operation that involved a boat that was docked in the Marina del Rey area, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The operation which was being handled by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency was ongoing Sunday evening in the Marina, according to sheriff’s Lt. Steve Tousey of the Marina sheriff’s station said.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents were seen with stacked blocks of marijuana that were taken off the boat.
There was no immediate word of the exact location of the boat, how officials discovered the operation and whether any arrests had been made.
