Police Thursday hunted a hoodie-wearing Hollywood burglar and asked the public for help in finding the culprit.

Officers circulated a photo of the man suspected of burglarizing a Hollywood residence.

The burglary occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 6, in the 1400 block of Alta Vista Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division.

The man was captured on video prying open the door to the residence where he took purses, dresses and cash before leaving, police said.

He is described as black between the ages of 25 and 30, 5-feet-9 inches to 6-feet tall, between 170 and 190 pounds, sporting a full beard and a man bun hairstyle. Still shots of the man show him wearing a bright orange Under Armor hooded sweatshirt, camouflage pattern skinny pants and gray running shoes.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the suspect was asked to contact detectives with LAPD’s Hollywood Burglary Division at (213) 972-2929.
