Authorities Saturday asked the public to be on the lookout for a wanted drug dealer after a search of his Pomona apartment turned up large quantities of cocaine, police said.
A search warrant was served at 29-year-old Michael James Manzo Jr.’s residence at 1360 W. Third St. around 6 p.m. Friday, said Pomona Police Cpl. J. Martinez.
“During the service of the search warrant, officers located large quantities of suspected cocaine inside the apartment,” Martinez said. “In addition to the suspected cocaine, items consistent with the sales of narcotics were also recovered to include packaging materials and a weighing device.”
Numerous items of evidence inside the apartment identified Manzo as the resident, which subsequently made him the suspect, police said. Manzo was not present during the search and is wanted on suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale.
Manzo was contacted via cellphone by family members at the apartment during the search but refused to turn himself in or contact law enforcement, Martinez said.
Anyone with information regarding Manzo’s whereabouts was urged to contact the Pomona Police Department at (909) 620-2085.
