A 13-year-old boy was seriously wounded Saturday in a shooting in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles.
It was reported about 4:30 p.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard and 28th Street, said a desk sergeant at the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Southwest Station.
The boy was wounded in a car-to-car shooting at Crenshaw and Adams boulevards but the car he was in stopped at 28th Street, police Lt. Jerry Davila of the LAPD’s Southwest Station said.
The boy was taken to a hospital where his condition was guarded, with stable vital signs, and he was in surgery, Davila said.
