Firefighters in downtown Los Angeles Saturday quickly put out a small fire on the balcony of the Weingart Center, which houses homeless men and women living on Skid Row.

Firefighters were dispatched at 8:50 a.m. to the 11-story high rise at 566 S. San Pedro St. They had the fire out within 10 minutes of their arrival, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
