At least 13 shots were fired in what authorities believe was a gang-related drive-by shooting in Azusa that has left a man hospitalized Tuesday morning with a gunshot wound to the leg, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene in the 5500 block of North Lark Ellen Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Monday and found the 20-year-old victim, said Lt. Elisabeth Sachs of the San Dimas Station.
The victim was standing in front of a house when two men pulled up and opened fire, then drove away in an unknown direction, Sachs said.
The man was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening wound, Sachs said.
A detailed description of the shooter or shooters was not immediately available.
