Two known gang members are jailed Saturday morning on gun and drug charges after being stopped by police in Pomona.

At 7 p.m. Friday, members of the Pomona Police Department’s Major Street Crimes Task Force made contact with Raul Campos, 23, of San Dimas and Kevin Palfrey, 23, of Covina, loitering near a home in the 1700 block of West Wright Street that is a known gang member hangout, according to Corporal J. Hernandez with the Pomona Police Department.

Officers determined Campos and Palfrey were gang members on probation and parole, respectively, for robbery, he said.

A search of Campos’ vehicle turned up a loaded firearm, Hernandez said.

Campos also had drugs in his possession, Hernandez said.

Both men were taken into custody.
