A man was fatally wounded during a fight that involved at least five people at a barber shop in Gardena, where three other people suffered stab wounds, authorities said Saturday.

All four stabbing victims were rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Gardena Police Lt. Steve Prendergast said.

The victim was pronounced dead at 10:40 p.m. Friday, said Lt. Dave Smith of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. His name will be released pending notification of next of kin.

The conditions of the three other people were not immediately known.

Officers were dispatched to 14510 S. Crenshaw Blvd. shortly after 9 p.m. Friday to respond to the fight, Prendergast said.

No suspects were in custody, and police did not release any suspect descriptions or say whether some of the three wounded men might be suspects in the death.

Gardena police detectives asked anyone with information regarding the fight to call them at (310) 217-9653.
